The Automatic Girth Welder (AGW-I), A.K.A. the 3 O'clock Welder, is a high-speed solution that delivers x-ray quality horizontal welds up to 20 times faster than manual techniques, significantly reducing in-field welding time for storage tanks.
Operating efficiently at speeds from four to 105 inches per minute, the AGW handles plates up to 1 3/4" thick and tank diameters ranging from the largest industrial tanks to as small as 15 feet and its adjustable A-frame accommodates steel plates from six to ten feet in height.
The AGW also comes equipped with the Lincoln NA-3 solid-state control, a welding head suitable for single or twin-arc wire applications, and a submerged arc flux belt mechanism for efficient flux recycling. The AGW is available as both single-sided and dual-sided mobile welding stations, offering ease of use, safety, and operator comfort with its sturdy platform, guardrails, all-weather curtains, and convenient access ladder.
